This data comes directly from NHTSA, the government data that they publish publicly. I take their data and make it more usable.
If you want to double check the data and validate it, you can do so at nhtsa.gov, they have APIs and data downloads there for validation.

@andreiufim, for what it's worth, I am in the market for a truck right now, and I am looking at the NHTSA data as one of many data points to decide which direction I want to go. The NHTSA data, as well as The Car Guy Online videos, other Automotive YouTubers, mechanics, and other anecdotal evidence online has told me for example, that as much as I'd like to buy a third gen Toyota Tundra, I don't believe I can trust that vehicle to be reliable due to the known issues of 3.4L V6 failures. I think the jury is still out on that one. Most of them probably are reliable, but I'm just not much of a gambler.
Also, as I've seen The Car Guy often say, test drive the trucks, because not everything is in the spec sheet data.
