I'm not locked in on any certian truck. With used truck prices so high I really want something with the low engine/powertrain cost per mile. Is there a way to search : All Trucks, 18K - 25K budget ? I love the format of this site however It would take for ever to enter every truck year make and model to see engine/powertrain ratings. TIA
Is there a way to Search all trucks at once to see which ones stand out.

That's a great idea/suggestion. I'll try to think about a new way to search or group the data.
I am working on a way to show problems/complaints/severity as a ratio to vehicles sold. It's not perfect though because many trucks like GM for example have 3-5 different engine configurations, if they have one extremely bad engine like the 6.2L it skews the results for all.
I appreciate the suggestion though, I'll try to come up with various ways to cut the data up 😃.
If we are just talking about reliability, I believe the most reliable truck you could be is a 2nd generation Toyota Tundra that was well maintained. They are a bit pricey but, they have a lot fewer issues than other brands and generally the powertrain is incredibly reliable.
What trucks did you have in mind in that price range?

Thanks for reply sir. My Back Story: I'm a retired 69 year old oilfield worker and I've really only driven WORK trucks But I'm slowing down just a bit and would like something really nice, as much as my budget will allow. Something a little fantcy like the Ram Laramie Longhorn. Even though I'm a desent shade tree mechanic with a loaded shop, I don't want to spend all of my time fixing it. So while researching I came across you site (Solid Plus). After just few searchs on the Ram it really got me to thinking more about dependabilty than bells and whistles. But, But, But. I guess I'm that guy who wants his cake and eat it too! One of YouTube Ram reviewers said the 2017 was the one to get, and a lot of the problems had been corrected ( lifter needle bearings goin out and trashing the engine) the other big problem with the Rams was exhaust manafold bolts breaking. That one does not bother me, they have a new aftermarket bolt set for that. Anyway, I could use all the help I can find in sorting this all out. I liked your thought about the Tundra, but wow they are high. I value your thoughts. To be honest my head is spinning!
