So I fell ass-backwards into a truck I am so glad came my way. I had a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie with about 85k on the clock. I bought it new hoping to not have any troubles and it was pretty much a lemon right out of the gate. Within 2 years, the A/C was gone, nothing but electrical gremlins and in 2021, the entire front diff decided to obliterate itself out of existence. That was the final straw for me. All told, it cost me about 8 grand, all out of warranty. Fast forward to January of 2022 and I walked into a Toyota dealership to plunk some cash down on a new 2022 Tundra. I thought to myself, "I'll buy a new Toyota! They never have engine issues!" ๐ฎ
Long story short, they weren't getting any new '22 Tundras until the fall, BUT they did have a cancellation on a 2021 Tundra spec'd out the way I wanted. It was arriving that week. AND they gave me more than I was hoping for, for my old Ram. I bought it right then and there, sight unseen, no test drive, nothin'.
I am so thankful it worked out for me. This is not a flex as I've also had some really crappy trucks that cost me a fortune (see above). I plan on keeping this Tundra forever. The only way I'll part with it, is like what Charlton Heston said; "From my cold, dead hands..."
