I just saw a post on the FB forum about a trifold bed cover coming off at highway speeds on a 2025. The poster is named Connie Xalgado if you want to find it and see the pictures. I was unaware of this one, but apparently factory installed bed covers for the Tundra are coming off and launching from the wind at highway speeds. All the other quality and reliability stuff is bad, but this is actually dangerous. After looking at the pictures and the bent plastic in the bed, I suspect these are more susceptible to coming off in buffeting wind while around other vehicles and semis at high speeds. I sure hope that an owner is not held liable for damages or hurting someone. Carguy, if you do buy a new truck, the only one I would absolutely not get is the Tundra. It's crazy how bad the build quality has fallen.

That is wild. I didn't see that post but I agree, it seems they just cut corners all around on the new platforms. It will be interesting to see how these newer vehicles age past 10 years, including the new Ram I purchased...I would imagine all the plastics are going to be the biggest issue on all of them.
